With both our open age teams drawn at home this weekend for huge games, and due to ongoing pitch upgrade works at Ledgard Avenue Leigh East A-Team Play Off Semi Final will now be played at Leigh Rugby Union Club.

Second team coach Ryan King commented "Myself and David Coyle have been working on finding a solution to the fixture clash all week since the ties were confirmed. With our oposition Blackpool being unable to accept an earlier kick off and the second team pitch being under reconstruction we are delighted that our community rugby partners Leigh Rugby Union club have come to the rescue. The support of Leigh RU means our game can now go ahead on time so we would like to express our thanks and gratitude to our friends at Leigh RU Club who we will support at every given opportunity in futue"

Everyone connected with Leigh East would like to thank Leigh RU Club for this kind gesture which truly shows the community spirit is alive and kicking in our town, and that regardless of which code you prefer rugby people are one of a kind.
